Albion are without captain Bruno for tonight's clash against promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday at the Amex.
The 36-year-old Spanish skipper's long unbroken run of starts in the Championship is over, due to a slight groin strain.
Right-back Bruno, 36, has made 73 league appearances in a row for the Seagulls.
His absence leaves boss Chris Hughton without both first-choice full-backs, as Gaetan Bong is still sidelined by a knee injury.
Fit-again Seb Pocognoli is expected to return. The other full-back spot rests between rookies Sam Adekugbe and Rob Hunt or Connor Goldson, better known as a central defender.
The team is likely to be led, in Bruno's absence, by Steve Sidwell if he is in he starting line-up or Lewis Dunk on his comeback from a two-match ban.
