Shane Duffy has been nominated for an award in his first full month with Albion.
The Republic of Ireland centre-back is on a shortlist of four for the Championship player of the month prize.
Duffy helped Albion to four successive league clean sheets in the month after a tricky debut at Newcastle at the end of August. Ironically, the only player to score against him last month – Brentford striker Scott Hogan – is also nominated.
Bristol City striker Tammy Abraham and Norwich winger Jacob Murphy complete the list, from which a winner will be announced tomorrow.
The four bosses up for manager of the month are Rafa Benitez (Newcastle), Jaap Stam (Reading), Alex Neil (Norwich) and Carlos Carvalhal, the Sheffield Wednesday chief whose side kicked off October with a 2-1 home defeat to the Seagulls.
