Albion face a quick return to Oxford United in the second round of the League Cup.
The Seagulls were handed a trip to the Kassam Stadium in tonight’s delayed draw.
They visited Oxford recently for a pre-season outing, which the Championship club won 4-0.
This tussle will be more competitive against a side promoted from League Two last season.
Premier League clubs not involved in European competition are involved in the second round and Burton were handed a dream draw at home to Liverpool while Yeovil have a trip to Everton.
Second round ties will be played the week after next, in the run-up to Albion’s trek to Newcastle in the Championship.
