Chris Hughton is hoping for good news on defender Gaetan Bong after he was stretchered off with a knee injury.
The Albion boss will reserve judgement after the left-back was hurt late in the 0-0 draw at home to Preston.
The Seagulls boss said: “It’s his knee. It’s always best to wait until we are better informed to see the extent of it.
“He is sore at the moment. We will evaluate that over the next couple of days.
“He has been excellent for us and it was really disappointing to see him stretchered off.”
Dale Stephens missed the game due to what Hughton termed “a very slight thigh strain”.
Albion struggled to create chances against well-organsied North End.
Hughton added: “I thought our better period was in the first half.
“We got into a lot of really good positions, particularly in the wide areas, the crossing areas.
“We were up against a side who were on the back of a very good away win at Charlton and that showed. I thought they looked very confident in their defending.”
Albion ended the contest with ten men after Bong went off but extended their unbeaten run to 13 games.
Hughton added: “In the end hopefully it’s not a bad point.”
