Albion strikers Nathan Elder and Joe Gatting are going head-to-head in a battle to be involved in the last home game of the season.
They partner each other in the Reserves tonight, with a forward place up for grabs against Oldham at Withdean on Saturday.
Bas Savage is out of the final two matches of the Seagulls' League One campaign with a medial knee ligament strain sustained in last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Swansea.
It leaves Elder and Gatting vying with Jake Robinson to start alongside Alex Revell against Oldham.
Elder, with ten goals in the Reserves, has been limited to 11 substitute appearances in the first team since signing from Billericay in December.
Gatting, the Reserves' top scorer with 14, has not started a first team match since February.
Albion's absence of firepower has been costing them dear. They have scored only twice during a run of four straight defeats which has left them still requiring a point to be sure of staying up.
Boss Dean Wilkins said: "It's difficult to say what has gone wrong, because we put in a really good performance at Tranmere and lost.
"I would be surprised if anyone dominated Swansea as much as we did in the second half but we failed to add to our goal tally and that has been a problem of late."
The squad for the visit of Wycombe Reserves at Worthing tonight (7pm) also features four of the 15 players out of contract at the end of the season: Michel Kuipers, Paul Hinshelwood, Doug Loft and Wes Fogden.
Albion need to win their last three matches to win the Pontin's Holidays Combination Central Division and go into a play-off against Ipswich after current leaders Southampton beat Aldershot 1-0 in their closing fixture last night.
Albion Reserves (from): Kuipers; Sullivan; P. Hinshelwood, Elphick, Pearson, Cobbs, Ward, Fraser, Loft, Frutos, Gatting, Elder, Fogden, Martin, Gargan, Skinner.
