Albion are counting the cost of a pointless Easter - in the treatment room.

Six players are fighting to be fit for Saturday's visit by relegation-haunted Bradford City.

Alexis Bertin, Alex Revell, Kerry Mayo and Alex Frutos were all injured when the Seagulls were beaten 2-0 at home by Doncaster last Saturday.

They have been joined by Guy Butters and Adam El-Abd, who picked up knocks in Monday's last-gasp defeat at Tranmere.

Bertin should be fit for selection. The French midfielder is making good progress from a groin strain and, following a light training session yesterday, is expected to resume full training today with the rest of the squad as they report back from their Bank Holiday extertions.

A late decision will be made on Revell. The striker, on target in the 3-2 victory at Bradford in November, was already due to have hernia surgery at the end of the season before aggravating the problem against Doncaster. Mayo (calf) has a better chance of being fit than Frutos, who also sustained a calf injury in the Doncaster debacle on his first League start since September.

Butters (dead leg) and El-Abd (back spasm) are scheduled to return to training tomorrow as Albion try to get back on track with a first victory at Withdean since mid-February.

The selection headaches for boss Dean Wilkins are complicated by a fixture for the title-chasing reserves at Aldershot tomorrow afternoon.

Bradford are four points short of safety with four games left.
