Albion are sweating on the availability of two of their young internationals for tomorrow's trip to Northampton.
Nick Ward and Joe O'Cearuill's places in the squad are in the balance as the Seagulls try to end a run of five games without a win.
Ward has been in Australia helping the under-23s towards qualification for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
The on-loan QPR midfielder went off in the second half of Wednesday's 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia in Adelaide and is due to report back today.
Manager Dean Wilkins said: "I think we have to play it by ear and see how he is feeling, both physically and mentally, before we make any sort of decision on him."
O'Cearuill missed last Saturday's 0-0 home draw against Huddersfield with a groin problem.
The defender, on-loan from Arsenal, was cleared by the Gunners to travel with the Republic of Ireland under-21s for a friendly in Holland on Tuesday.
He was substituted towards the end of Ireland's 1-0 defeat and was off sick yesterday but is expected back today.
Full-back Zoumana Bakayogo, yet to make an appearance in Albion's first team on loan from Millwall, reported back yesterday fit and well after playing for Ivory Coast in the Olympic qualifying competition.
Wilkins is looking for an improvement in the attacking third of the pitch following Albion's fourth draw on the trot against Huddersfield.
He said: "We are clearly quite solid and compact. Two defeats in 12 is a good return. The six draws are a slight concern because the majority have come about through a failure to take chances.
"Last week was slightly different. I would like to see the lack of creativity in the final third as a one-off.
"We need to make sure we get back to creating as many opportunities as we have in the past and take the opportunities that we have been missing."
Albion's 1,300-strong travelling army fans are expected to swell the attendance to Northampton's second highest of the season. Their only 7,000 crowd so far was against Nottingham Forest in August.
Meanwhile, The Seagulls have slashed prices in the East and Family stands for Doncaster's visit on April 7 to 1997 rates of £12 adults and £7 concessions.
Doncaster were the last team to play at the Goldstone ten years ago and Albion have dubbed the Withdean clash 'Retro Day'.
