Stephen Ward admits Albion can expect no favours from Derby today.
The Seagulls left-back is friends with some of the Rams squad including their skipper Richard Keogh.
Ward is convinced Derby will not be complacent as they go into the home leg of their play-off semi-final with as 2-1 lead.
He said: “They will be very grounded. I spoke to a few of them afterwards and they were pleased with the result.
“But they knew they were in a tough game (on Thursday).
“The game could have gone either way. It will be similar type of game up there - very tight.
“There won’t be much in it and I think we can take credit from some of our away performances this season.”
