Trevor Geer reckons Eastbourne have sent out a warning to the Elite League.
Cameron Woodward and Mikkel Michelsen both recorded five-ride paid maximums as Eagles thrashed Birmingham 62-30 at Arlington last night.
Brummies are not fancied to be among the title chasers this season.
But Geer, whose side have been written off by many pundits, believes their efforts will have been noted around the league.
The Eagles boss said: "I know Birmingham were missing Edward Kennett.
“But their main boys were there – Danny King, Ben Barker and Adam Skornikci.
“And really they couldn’t live with our boys.
“I think this stands us in good stead for the rest of the year.”
