Crawley have signed Albion winger Jeffrey Monakana on a month’s loan.
The 20-year-old will go straight into the Crawley squad for the trip to his former club Preston on Saturday.
Monakana made 49 appearances for the Lilywhites before joining the Seagulls in January for an undisclosed fee.
The former Arsenal trainee is the second new face at Crawley in the space of a few hours following the arrival of winger Gwion Edwards from Swansea City.
He has yet to make a first team appearance for Albion but has been a regular member of the development squad.
Manager John Gregory said: “Jeffrey is highly rated by Brighton and he has plenty of experience of League One already.
“He’s strong, quick and can deliver a good ball from wide areas and I’m really hoping he can flourish with us over the next month. With eight games during that time he will certainly get the opportunity to impress.”
Monakana added: “Hopefully I can bring something to the team. I like to take on defenders and get the ball into the box and hopefully score a few goals as well. I'm looking forward to the next month."
