Craig Mackail-Smith continued his comeback from more than a year out of Albion's first team at the Amex tonight.
The striker played in the development side for 76 minutes in a 2-1 defeat by QPR.
Mackail-Smith, recovering from Achilles, ankle and groin injuries, was denied a goal midway through the first half by Rangers keeper Joe Lumley.
Canadian winger Michael Petrasso, back from a loan spell with Coventry, fired the visitors into a second minute lead.
Glen Rea hammered in Albion's equaliser from the edge of the box via the bar after 21 minutes.
Mo Sharif restored Rangers' advantage seven minutes into the restart, slotting in from ten yards.
