Coventry star Hans Andersen took the honours at Joonas Kylmakorpi’s testimonial tonight.
The Danish racer fended off Troy Batchelor by about a bike’s length in a hard fought final with Adam Skornicki third.
Andersen’s success in Arlington's opening fixture of the season came in a re-run.
Lewis Bridger fell and was excluded in a hard fought first staging, a decision which clearly infuriated the Lakeside man.
Batchelor was top scorer in the heats with 12 points from five rides.
The other three finalists scored 11 apiece.
It was a mixed night for Eastbourne riders although their top three of Kylmakorpi, Bjarne Pedersen and Cameron Woodward all got better as the meeting went on.
Woodward impressively won his last two races after a change of bikes to delight an 800-strong crowd.
Both Woodward and Kylmakorpi scored nine points, Pedersen eight, Timo Lahti four and Mikkel Micheslen three.
