Joey Barton has slammed the sacking of Chris Powell by Charlton as a "shambles" ahead of his visit to the Amex tonight.
The QPR midfielder has hit out at Powell's departure on twitter.
Relegation-threatened Charlton's 2-0 exit from the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at Sheffield United on Sunday means they will visit the Amex as scheduled on April 12 with a new manager.
Barton tweeted: "Feel sorry for Chris Powell. Loyal player for the club, did a great job getting them up and this is how he is treated. Shambles.
"Wish him every success going forward. It will end in tears for Charlton."
