Will Hoskins has declared himself ready to contribute to Albion's Championship challenge after 90 minutes in a 1-0 defeat for the development team against Swansea at Lancing last night.
It was his first full appearance as an over-age player for the under 21's, and third in total, since a year out with serious knee damage and two operations.
Hoskins told The Argus: "It breaks another barrier, gives me confidence.
"I am ready and waiting, that's how I feel. I played 30, played 60, played the 90, got a full game under my belt.
"I've been out for a year. I wouldn't say I am at my sharpest. That's me being honest. I like to have quick fit but that is only going to come with games and if you are chucked into the big games you forget everything and you have got to be big, strong and compete. I feel like I am ready."
