Albion boss Oscar Garcia believes clubs relegated from the Premier League have a big squad advantage at the business end of the season.

Today’s visitors Reading, recent Amex winners Wigan and Tuesday’s opponents Queens Park Rangers are all in the top seven, vying for an immediate return to the Premier League.

Oscar, whose team are tucked behind Reading in eighth, said: “I think it’s a big advantage for them but in 90 minutes in one game anything can happen. We will try to be at our best and compete with these strong teams and try to win.

“At this time the teams that have strength in depth have an advantage but we have the squad we have and we will try to use all the players. My concern is to have all the players fit enough to play and then we can choose the best eleven.”

A thigh injury has ruled Andrea Orlandi out of Royals’ visit. Fellow central midfielder Dale Stephens is also expected to be out with a foot problem and Rohan Ince is not 100% after ankle trouble. Jake Forster-Caskey could start.
