Andrew Crofts has shrugged off a spate of bookings for club and country.
In-form Crofts insists yellow cards are an occupational hazard for his style of play in the midfield battleground for Albion and Wales.
The Seagulls’ former skipper scored his third goal of the season in the 3-1 defeat by Nottingham Forest at The Amex on Saturday night.
He also collected his third booking in six games in the closing stages, raising his caution count to five in eight matches for Albion and Wales.
Crofts told The Argus: “The way I play I like to be all-action, so you are obviously going to pick up a few.
“I think if you are an honest player and hard-working and you like to put your foot in, you are always going to maybe get bookings.”
Back to-back yellows for Wales against Macedonia and Serbia in September have ruled Crofts out of the return clash against Macedonia in Cardiff on Friday night.
He was still included in Chris Coleman’s squad for the trip to Belgium next week but pulled out with the blessing of the Welsh FA to rest a minor hip injury during the international break.
Crofts was handed his first start for 13 months by Coleman against Serbia.
He said: “I’ve built up a few caps now, so I have got a lot of experience. It’s obviously good to get back in the fold, but the main thing is to keep my form up for Brighton. I am really enjoying that.”
