Gus Poyet is on the verge of being confirmed as Sunderland's new manager, according to reports.
The odds on the former Albion boss taking charge at the Stadium of Light have been chopped again, although Sunderland say no appointment is imminent.
The Black Cats are bottom of the Premier League with one point and have lost at home to Liverpool and Manchester United under Hastings-born caretaker Kevin Ball since the sacking of Paolo Di Canio.
Their next match after the international break is away to Swansea on Saturday week.
