Rising Polish star Jakub Jamrog has been confirmed as a starter in The Argus Sussex Championship at Arlington on Sunday.

The 22-year-old Pole shone in a meeting at Berwick on Saturday and now has the chance to impress Eastbourne’s management as he goes against a field including current Eagles stars plus Lewis Bridger and Edward Kennett.

Jamrog rides for Lodz in his homeland and won the Independence Cup meeting at Rivne, Ukraine, in August.

His presence adds intrigue to the meeting backed by The Argus.

Racing gets under way at 3.30pm at Arlington and fans will have a feast of action.

The senior event is over 15 heats with a final.

There will also be junior championships for 500cc riders and a 125cc class.

After the 24 heats of speedway, there are ten heats and a final for the quads championship.

Once the track action is over, there is a party and disco in the clubroom when fans can mix with the riders.

They will also hear who has been named at Eastbourne’s rider of the year. Voting slips will be given to spectators with their programmes when they enter the stadium.
