WILL Buckley says Albion should have been awarded a second-half penalty at Ipswich.
But he admits they deserved nothing in the 2-0 defeat at Portman Road.
Buckley’s shot from Inigo Calderon’s cross with 17 minutes left appeared to be blocked with his hand by Town centre-half Tommy Smith.
Buckley told The Argus: “I called for it. His hands shouldn’t really be up that high and if it hits you on the hand it usually gets given.
“But for me that summed the day up. We didn’t get anything and we didn’t deserve to get anything.”
Albion have a quick opportunity to make amends for their first defeat in seven matches against Sheffield Wednesday at The Amex tomorrow night.
Buckley, on target in the last home outing against Bolton, said: “It’s probably good to be playing on Tuesday and not having to wait until Saturday.
“We have got to put it right and I am confident we can do that at home.”
