Will Buckley branded Albion's 2-0 defeat at Ipswich today as one of the worst performances in his time at the club.
The winger, signed from Watford two summers ago, admitted: "It's one of the worst Brighton games I have played in. We just never turned up from the first minute.
"The first goal kind of summed it up, a deflection. It just wasn't our day and we weren't at our best, so we've got no-one else to blame but ourselves."
Two David McGoldrick goals in the space of four minutes in the first half gave Ipswich a comfortable win after Andrew Crofts missed an early chance for the Seagulls.
Buckley said: "Goals change games and if we had gone into the lead it could have been different, but after that I think we had one chance really and that was that. We never really created anything significant."
