Former Albion boss Gus Poyet is likely to have to wait until next week to hear whether he will be Sunderland's new manager.
Reports from the North East suggest the Black Cats will take their time to find the right man in succession to the sacked Paolo Di Canio. Kevin Ball remains in caretaker charge.
As revealed by The Argus yesterday morning, Poyet is keen on the job and it is understood the Premier League club have made him their No. 1 target.
