Rohan Ince is back in midfield for Albion today – but new boy Craig Conway will have to wait to impress home fans.
Ince replaces the ineligible Keith Andrews as the Seagulls take on winless Bolton at The Amex.
His anticipated return is one of three changes to the side which kicked off at QPR in midweek.
Wingers Will Buckley and Kazenga LuaLua both come into the side.
Their return means David Lopez moves back into a midfield role in place of Jake Forster-Caskey, who is injured, while recent loan signing Conway drops to the bench.
Andrews is on loan from Bolton and not allowed to play against his parent club.
Bolton give David Ngog, scorer of a last-gasp equaliser here last season, the start in attack in place of Jermaine Beckford.
They are expected to line-up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Albion: Kuszczak; Calderon, Greer, Upson, Ward; Ince, David Lopez, Crofts; Buckley, LuaLua, Barnes. Subs: Ankergren, Bruno, Dunk, El-Abd, Chicksen, Conway, March.
Bolton: Bogdan; Baptiste, Wheater, Mills, Tierney; Spearing, Ream; Pratley, Chung-Yong Lee, Eagles; Ngog. Subs: Lonergan, Beckford, Hall, Knight, Odelusi, Kellett, Medo.
Ref: Michael Jones (Cheshire)
