Tomasz Kuszczak reckons Albion deserved their point away to the new leaders last night – but he admitted they had to defend well to get it.
The Polish keeper produced fine saves from Charlie Austin and Joey Barton and had great protection in front of him.
He said: “I think it is a fair result – and a good result for us. We came here to try to nick three points, no doubt.
“We were really solid. We knew defensive shape would be really important and in football you never know. If you defend well you might nick something. That was the plan.
“We didn’t get many chances, I must say. QPR played well and are really strong at home but I think it is a good result for us.”
Kuszczak said he was delighted with a fourth clean sheet in five games but added: “To be honest, what would please me most is three points.”
