Eastbourne Eagles are looking for a new date for their final Elite League fixture of the season after rain called an early halt tonight.
Eagles were 20-16 up on Belle Vue when rain swept across Arlington after six races.
There was no question of the meeting continuing and referee Chris Gay pulled the plug.
The two tracks are now checking their diaries to see when the meeting can be fitted in.
Eastbourne’s riders are already committed to appearing at Arlington on Sunday, October 6 for the Championship of Sussex.
Eagles boss Trevor Geer said: “It was a shame we had to call it off but the weather beat us.
“It was the right decision to abandon the meeting. Once the rain started it was obvious there would be mishaps if we continued.
“We have got to stage the meeting. We now need to look at dates but there is nothing concrete as yet.”
Timo Lahti was on the wrong end of a shock Aces 5-1 in the reserves’ race but responded to share in home maximums with first Cameron Woodward, then Bjarne Pedersen.
There was also a notable heat-one win for Pedersen over Darcy Ward.
