Oscar Garcia has piled pressure on the Championship’s big budget teams as Albion prepare for two testing awaydays.
The Seagulls go to Reading on Sunday and QPR on Wednesday.
Both opponents are flush with parachute payments after coming down from the Premier League.
Reading were surprisingly quiet in the transfer market but QPR recruited busily.
Asked which teams would be candidates for promotion, Albion’s head coach replied: “It’s clear that teams under most pressure are those who have the biggest budgets to spend on transfers or wages.
“Those teams have more pressure on them than the rest of us.”
