Young Crawley striker Jonte Smith has gone out on loan in a bid to build his match fitness.
Smith has joined Conference south outfit Havant and Waterloville for a month.
The Bermuda international has recovered from a pre-season ankle injury ahead of schedule but needs matches.
Reds boss Richie Barker said: "He needs games now for match fitness and Havant are a good club who play at a decent standard and this will help both his short and long-term development."
Havant are managed by former Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury.
