James Hurst is recalled as Crawley Town make two enforced changes for the home clash with Gillingham today.

The former West Brom defender has sat out the last two matches with Josh Simpson filling in at right-back.

But with Mike Jones missing through suspension, Simpson returns to midfield with Hurst returning on the right hand side of defence.

The other change comes at the back too with Mark Connolly getting the nod ahead of former Gillingham defender Connor Essam to partner Kyle McFadzean at centre-back in the absence of Joe Walsh, who was on international duty with Wales under-21s last night.

Striker Emile Sinclair remains on the bench with Gary Alexander keeping his place as expected following his brace at Peterborough last weekend.

Reds are unable to name a full complement of substitutes for the second time this season. They only have six of the permitted seven on the bench.

Crawley (4-4-2): P Jones; Hurst, McFadzean, Connolly, Sadler; Adams, Simpson, Bulman, Drury; Clarke, Alexander. Subs: Maddison, Essam, Torres, Rooney, Proctor, Sinclair.

Gillingham (4-1-3-2): Nelson; Lee, Legge, Barrett, Martin; Gregory; Whelpdale, Hollands, Dack; Kedwell, Akinfenwa. Subs: Linganzi, Weston, Allen, German, Howard, Butcher, McKain.
