Crawley boss Richie Barker was delighted to have kept his squad intact on transfer deadline day despite interest in Kyle McFadzean and Nicky Adams.

Reds had rejected two offers from an unnamed club for defender McFadzean before the weekend and an anticipated third bid never materialised yesterday.

Barker was made aware of interest in Adams by the player’s agent but Crawley never received a formal offer after the winger made it clear he was happy to stay at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.

The Reds boss said: “Both Kyle and Nicky said they didn’t want to go which is brilliant because I didn’t want to lose them. They are a big part of what we are trying to achieve here and the fact they want to say proves we are heading in the right direction.”

Crawley did not attempt to bring anybody in after completing the £100,000 signing of striker Emile Sinclair last week with Barker unlikely to add to his squad when the loan window opens next week either.
