Eastbourne ended any lingering fears of coming bottom of the Elite League by winning twice on the same night.
They came from behind to defeat Birmingham 46-44, then used an explosive start to see off Peterborough 53-43 in an Arlington double-header.
Eagles led 14-10, then trailed 27-21 against Brummies.
Cameron Woodward played a captain’s role by going unbeaten in his first five rides.
Simon Gustafsson re-passed impressive guest Rory Schlein to win heat 14 and help open an unassailable 45-39 lead.
Brummies ended Wodoward’s hopes of a paid maximum when Danny King and Schlein teamed up for a 5-1 in heat 15 as the visitors took a losing bonus point.
Eagles opened their meeting against in-form Panthers with three 5-1s and a 4-2 in the first four races.
Kenneth Bjerre and Joonas Kylmakorpi both had double-points wins for the visitors but they never got within reach.
Gustafsson led a 4-2 in heat 12 which opened a 46-32 lead.
Panthers cut arrears by scoring 4-2s in heats 14 and 15, by which time it was too late.
