Ashley Barnes is doubtful for Albion's home game against Burnley on Saturday.
The striker suffered a hip injury after coming off the bench at Birmingham last Saturday.
Head coach Oscar Garcia will also be without midfielder Andrea Orlandi (knee) again for Burnley's visit.
Oscar said: "Ashley Barnes hasn't trained for two days. We will have to see how he feels. Orlandi will not be able to play."
Leo Ulloa would be Albion's only senior recognised striker in Barnes' absence, with Craig Mackail-Smith and Will Hoskins long-term injury victims.
Oscar remains keen to add to his squad before the transfer window shuts on September 2.
He said: "We have to be prepared for everything and we are working on it."
