TOBY AGDESTEIN hopes he can challenge for more regular first team football with Albion next season.
The 21-year-old Norwegian showed a tantalising reminder of his potential in Saturday’s Sussex Senior Cup final.
Agdestein, skippering the side, scored a hat-trick and made the other goal in a 4-0 win against Bognor.
After being restricted to just three substitute appearances this season – all last August – the former Stord striker would like to see more action next season.
He said: “I hope to push on. I have one year left on my contract so I know I need to push for it as hard as I can and do as good as I can.
“Hopefully performances like Saturday will help me.
“I need to do the same in training with the first team and hopefully I will get a couple of games next season. That is what I hope.”
This was Agdestein’s second Sussex Senior Cup success after featuring in the 2011 final victory over Eastbourne Borough but his first as captain.
He said: “I really enjoyed it. It has been a big build-up for this game and everyone has been looking forward to it.
“As this was the last game of the season everyone wanted to do as well as possible and I think we did.”
