Albion defender Vitalijs Maksimenko is celebrating victory at Wembley today.
The Latvian international helped Yeovil beat Brentford 2-1 in the League One play-off final.
He came on as a 76th-minute substitute as the Glovers withstood a late onslaught by the Bees before claiming Championship status for the first time in their history.
Paddy Madden and James Hayer put Yeovil two up before Harlee Dean replied – all ahead of Maksimenko’s arrival.
He had more than 20 minutes of action, including stoppage time, before Yeovil could celebrate a famous win.
The 22-year-old defender signed for Albion from Skonto Riga in January for an undisclosed fee and is under contract until the summer of 2015.
At the time of his arrival, boss Gus Poyet said: “He has got the potential to bring more quality to our first team in the future.
“He is a young defender who has quality on the ball.”
Yeovil’s win means Albion will make their sixth league visit to Huish Park next season.
They have led on each of their last four trips to the Somerset club but only won once, on their most recent visit in 2010-11.
