Eastbourne Eagles produced a stirring finish to secure a much-needed bonus-point home win tonight.
Eagles came from 28-26 down to beat Coventry Bees 51-39 at Arlington.
They had 5-1s in heats 13 and 14 to secure the win, then made sure of the third point with a 4-2 in the nominated race.
Bjarne Pedersen and Cameron Woodward grabbed a pivotal 5-1 in heat 13 over Scott Nicholls and previously undefeated Krzysztof Kasprzak in the race of the night.
Pedersen also took heat 15 with Woodward winning a thrilling joust with Nicholls for third place.
Simon Gustafsson underlined his return to form with three wins in his paid-12 from five heats.
Boss Trevor Geer: "It was probably great entertainment for the crowd but it was too close for comfort for me until the last few races when we stormed away."
