Coldplay singer Chris Martin is suffering from a "serious lung infection" which has forced the group to cancel their shows in Brazil.
They had been due to play eight shows in the country between October 11-22 as part of their Music Of The Spheres world tour.
However, the shows that were scheduled for Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo are now set to be rescheduled.
On their social media the band shared a statement saying: "With deep regret, we've been forced to postpone our upcoming shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo until early 2023.

"Due to a serious lung infection, Chris has been put under strict doctor's orders to rest for the next three weeks.
"We're working as fast as possible to lock in the new dates and will follow up with more information in the next few days.

"To everyone in Brazil who was looking forward to these concerts, we're extremely sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience, and we're so grateful for your understanding at this challenging time where we need to prioritise Chris' health."
The band added they were "optimistic" that Chris would return to good health after having a break, and they asked fans to hold onto their tickets as they would be valid for the rescheduled dates in 2023.
