Royal soap opera adaptation The Crown has cast the actors who will portray Prince William and Kate Middleton, according to reports.
Streaming giant Netflix, behind the smash hit dramatisation of the Windsor family through the years, is understood to have handed the roles to a trio of relative newcomers, according to Deadline.
Prince William is set to be played by two people - one portraying the prince as he comes of age from a teenager, the other as a young adult.
Teenager Rufus Kampa will take on the role of William as a 15-year-old, before Ed McVey steps in as the older prince.
Meanwhile his bride, Kate Middleton, will be played by newcomer Meg Bellamy.
Never underestimate the outsider.

Rufus Kampa and Ed McVey as Prince William in The Crown
Incidents set to be portrayed by the actors include the tragic death of William’s mother, Diana Princess of Wales, in August 1997. Kampa will portray the prince in that era, who was 15 when he lost his mother.
While new to TV, Kampa made his professional West End stage debut in 2019 in the title role in Sue Townsend’s The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 & 3/4s: The Musical.
McVey, meanwhile, will star for plot lines including William’s courtship of Kate after the pair met at St Andrews University in 2001.
Meg Bellamy as Kate Middleton in The Crown
Bellamy, who will portray Kate Middleton, is understood to have been cast after submitting a self-taped video following a casting call on social media.
They will all make their debuts in Season 6 of The Crown, with filming set to begin later this year.
It is understood Prince Harry has yet to be cast for season six.
Before that, Royal fans can enjoy the fifth season, which is set to stream on Netflix in November.
Imelda Staunton will play Queen Elizabeth, alongside Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce as the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip; Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana and Dominic West as the Prince of Wales.
