A MAN accused of attempting to sexually assault a 13-year-old girl in a park faces trial.
Police were called to Eastbourne High Street, near the steps leading to Gildredge Park, at 3.30pm on Tuesday, September 14.
Officers arrested a man following the incident.
Luke McHale, of Stockport, has since been charged with attempted sexual assault of a 13-year-old, and indecent exposure.
The unemployed 32-year-old appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on September 16, where he pleaded not guilty to the two charges.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on October 14.
Police are still seeking witnesses to the incidents.
Detective Constable David Kitcher said: "If you were in or around Gildredge Park or High Street that afternoon and saw anything of what happened, please contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 785 of 14/09."
