FOOTAGE filmed by a customer shows the aftermath of a car ploughing through the entrance of a Tesco Express.
The incident took place earlier today at around midday and saw a silver Citroen crash into the glass doors of the shop.
A video posted to the Eastbournians Facebook page by Harry Hepworth shows the incident from within the shop.
The footage shows the broken windows and products across the floor, as well as what appears to be smoke.
Tesco workers can be heard trying to evacuate customers and making sure everyone is safe.
The car is seen with a busted bonnet and other damage.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said earlier: "We were called at 12.18 to reports of a road traffic collision at a supermarket in Stone Cross.
"Crews made the scene safe and handed the incident over to police and the store management team."
