Torrential rain caused flooding chaos in parts of Sussex over the weekend.
Heavy rain hit the county late on Saturday, June 2 keeping firefighters busy throughout the night.
In one incident, crews were called to the A272 where it goes over the railway line at Muster Green in Haywards Heath.
Severe flooding was making conditions hazardous for drivers and pedestrians and crews had to use pumps to clear the area and make it safe.
The incident happened at about 12.30am yesterday (June 3).
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said it responded to 17 separate floods at roads, homes and businesses over a two hour period from 11pm on Saturday.
Areas affected included Findon, Littlehampton, Rustington, Clapham, East Grinstead and Turner's Hill.
A brigade spokesman said: “We were kept very busy overnight but there were no major incidents.”
More bad weather is expected this week with rain and showers forecast for today (June 4), tomorrow, Wednesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 7.
However, conditions are expected to improve by the weekend.
