The South Downs National Park Authority has appointed a new member.
Diana Kershaw, a former transport and town planner, has just started after winning a national competition for the job.
She said: “I am excited to be joining the UK’s newest national park authority.
"I have a great love of the countryside and I hope that my wide experience will be useful.”
Ms Kershaw replaces Susan Warren who stepped down from the role at the end of 2011.
