WITH a big increase in the number of plastic charity sacks being posted through our letter boxes requesting donated clothing and other items to be left on the doorstep for collection on a certain day, I urge people to read the print on the outer plastic sleeve.
One I recently received stated the textile recycler which is working with the charity will donate £50 per ton to the charity.
I can only guess the huge sum of money that could be made on every ton of goods taken directly to one of the many worthy charity shops in our city. Many of these shops have collection vans too.
Please do read the small print on these charity bags – many names are misleading.
