A man with a cross tattooed on his forehead flashed at a woman jogger.
She was running across a rugby pitch in Hawthorn Road, Bognor, when a man sitting on the ground exposed himself to her.
He then stood up but did not follow her as she ran off.
PC Trevor Pritchard said: “The man is described as white, in his 40s, with a shaven head, and was wearing a grey zip-up hooded top.
“He had what appeared to be a distinctive tattoo in the shape of a cross on his forehead."
The incident took place at 8pm on Sunday, May 20.
A 51-year old local man has been arrested on suspicion of exposure and has been released on bail until June 30.
