I HAVE searched through all the literature put through my door by the Green Party at the last local election and not one word mentions free parking for employees of Brighton and Hove City Council (The Argus, May 24).
We all need space to park when we go to work, but not for free, and certainly not paid out of my community charge.
Ever since the Greens found themselves in power, they have created mayhem on our roads, streets and city.
Is there nothing the other parties can do to remove them?
Do I really have to wait another two years? Failing that, I will have to wait until the next council meeting. I should walk in as Oliver Cromwell and throw them all out, mayor included.

FREE parking seven days a week if you have a car, including time off at weekends, or a free bus pass – some council staff have it made don’t they?
One wonders what other freebies go with the job.
I can think of a few people who work hard and just receive a basic wage or salary without any perks.
More power to The Argus – I hope you uncover more hidden things which are being covered up. These things should be out in the open.

STAFF at Brighton and Hove City Council should practise what they preach and get on their bikes for the journey to work. Make use of the bike lanes.
If they have to use a car for work, they should pay for their parking the same as the majority of other workers.
Why should the council have the benefit of free parking when everyone else has to pay its excessive parking charges?
