Thousands turned out for fun in the sun at Saltdean’s second annual fun day on Saturday.
The free event at Oval Park, Saltdean was set up by the Friends of Saltdean Lido to help raise awareness of the ongoing campaign to save the Grade II listed building.
Chairperson for the campaign Rebecca Crook said: “The day was absolutely great. The amount of people who came totally surpassed our expectations.”
Events throughout the day included dog shows, entertainment from Rob Roy the escapologist, dozens of food stalls and live music.
Ticket only concerts which both sold out took place at the park on Friday and Saturday night with performances from South Coast Soul Revue and The Vox Beatles.
Miss Crook said the Friends of Saltdean Lido set up the day to help showcase the sort of events they could put on for people to enjoy should the Lido successfully open up again.
A meeting is being held on Wednesday at Hove Town Hall to discuss the progress of the campaign.
