Former patients and staff are being asked to share their memories of old hospitals in Brighton and Hove.
Newhaven-based author Harry Gaston is researching a newbook with the working title Lost Hospitals of Brighton and Hove.
There are seven hospitals that were operating in the city when the NHS was launched in 1948 that have since disappeared.
They are Bevendean Hospital, Foredown Hospital, Hove General Hospital, Lady Chichester Hospital, NewSussex Hospital for Women, Sussex Throat and Ear Hospital and Sussex Maternity Hospital.
Mr Gaston is keen to hear from patients, visitors, volunteers and staff.
People can contact him c/o Friends of Brighton and Hove Hospitals, The Old Chapel, 37 St George's Road, Brighton BN2 1ED.
