A campaign against the Government’s work for benefits scheme takes place this weekend.
Brighton Benefits Campaign has been fighting workfare, where some people on benefits are required to do work experience to continue claiming.
The campaign has called a national conference for this Saturday (May 26) at Brighton Railway Club in Belmont, Dyke Road, Brighton from 11am to 5pm.
Pip Tindall, of Brighton Benefits Campaign, said: “This conference will bring together campaigners such as Boycott Workfare with representatives of trade unions, voluntary groups and others opposed to workfare, with the intention of creating a sustained national campaign.”
