A 44-year-old man died in a car crash yesterday and two people are fighting for their lives.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene after the Ford Fiesta he was travelling in crashed with a Toyota Landcruiser in Worthing Road, Southwater.
Two other local men were seriously hurt in the crash at about 4.45pm.
A 25-year-old, who was driving the Fiesta, and a 27-year-old, who was a passenger in the same car, were airlifted to Kings College Hospital in London.
Both are in a critical condition this morning.
The 44-year-old driver of the Landcruiser suffered a minor arm injury but he did not need hospital treatment.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
