Brighton is seeing a rise in silver skateboarders as dads get back into the habit.
Skaters as old as 50 are jumping back on their boards with their children.
James Roberts, who owns skate and surf shop Ocean Sports at Kingsway in Hove, said he has seen a rise in more stately skaters.
He said: “Guys who used to skateboard in the early 1980s and 1990s now have young children who want to get out and do something.
“So they buy a skateboard to keep up with their kids."
