A seafront area has been improved after enforcement by planning officials.
Brighton and Hove City Council has issued enforcement notices on three different sites in Kingsway, Hove, in the last year to help bring the areas back into use.
This includes 149-151 Kingsway, which has now been brought back into use as homes, and Lawnscroft nursing home at 155 Kingsway, which is being turned into a 34-bed care home.
The council also asked the owners of the former Sackville Hotel to improve the appear¬ance of the derelict site.
The land has now been tidied up and fenced off and the own¬ers are working with the local authority to bring forward plans to develop the land.
A decision on the proposals is expected in the coming weeks.
