Two wards in a hospital have been closed to new admissions after the latest outbreak of a winter vomiting bug.

The wards in Worthing Hospital are closed to new inpatient admissions with potential hospital visitors being told to stay away if they've suffered from diarrhoea or vomiting.

Visitors who are currently unwell, or have been in the past 48 hours, are urged to postpone as they can be infectious two days after symptoms have gone.

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust said they particularly want to discourage visits by children at this time and that visitors who do come into hospital should strictly observe the hand hygiene measures by washing their hands thoroughly.
