POLICE are searching for a man who went missing from his East Sussex home on May 7.
Alan Hope, 45, failed to turn up to work at the Old Plawhatch Farm, Sharpthorne, East Sussex, where he also lives.
Police believe that he may have used public transport to leave the area.
Inspector Lee Lyons said: "Alan has friends and family in East Sussex but also has connections in Stroud, Gloucestershire, Cleveland and Cambridge. He enjoys the outdoors and likes walking in the countryside.
"We cannot understand why he would just leave his accommodation especially as he has left many of his personal belongings behind."
Alan is described as white, 5' 9' with cropped dark brown hair, usually clean shaven with a tanned complexion and of slight build.
He was last seen wearing a light blue jumper, brown Barbour jacket, brown moleskin trousers and black wellington boots.
He frequently wears blue waterproof trousers in wet weather.
Anyone who has seen Alan should call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 0976 of 8/05.
